Primary Function

  • Monitoring stock levels, conducting inventories, placing orders to replenish supplies, and ensuring accurate records.
  • Receiving incoming shipments, inspecting items for accuracy and quality, and distributing supplies to the appropriate departments or individuals.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate records of inventory, including purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documents.
  • Coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of materials.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of supply chain procedures and policies.
  • Preparing reports on inventory status and supply issues for management.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Organizing storage areas, ensuring proper handling of supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Essential Duties

  • Conducting regular inventory counts and audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Placing orders and preparing requisitions to replenish inventory as needed.
  • Tracking inventory turnover and identifying slow-moving or obsolete items.
  • Implementing inventory control procedures, such as organizing storage areas, labeling items, and ensuring proper rotation of stock.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to inventory control, including purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documents.
  • Updating inventory databases and generating reports on inventory status and supply issues for management.
  • Ensuring proper storage and handling of supplies and equipment and maintaining a clean and organized supply area.
  • Handling returns of defective or incorrect items.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • A minimum of 5 years verifiable experience working within the Army aviation supply system/ GFE within the area of unit supply operations, property management and administration and equipment calibration.
  • Previous experience in Army supply chain, inventory management, or a related role is preferred.
  • Maintaining accurate records of non-expendable property using systems like GCSS-Army or manual methods, establishing hand receipt files, ensuring authorized property is on hand or requisitioned, coordinating equipment transfers, and conducting inventories.
  • Ability to assist with property book operations such as inventory, storage, and equipment coordination, scheduling inspections, and maintaining records of property disposal.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
  • Must have successfully completed formal training conducted by the U.S, Army or Armed Forces equivalent, or training courses conducted by industry or civilian institutions.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the Army supply system pertaining to aircraft parts, components, materials, and applicable technical publications. Must have a thorough knowledge of Army procurement, inventory management, shipping, receiving, transportation, storage, turn-in, property accountability, and supply procedures and regulations.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of current Army STAMIS (PBUS, ACN and GCSS-ARMY).
  • Must possess a minimum of 6 years in Army aviation retail and wholesale supply systems experience, high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate, MOS 92A (TAMMS clerk) preferred.
  • Must have a broad knowledge of Army supply regulations, supply manuals, supply procedures, and related publications.
  • Specialized technical, vocational, or other formal training may be substituted in part for the experience requirement.
  • Experience with current Army STAMIS required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to keyboard accurately and must possess effective writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
