JOB ANNOUNCEMENT FINANCIAL ANALYST, BX15 CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION Capital Finance Division Number of Positions: 1 (Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval) Starting Salary: $69,684.00 Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59pm CDT on August 5, 2025. ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Perform in-depth financial, strategic, and cash flow analyses across all airport sections, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather financial, operational, and market data necessary for comprehensive assessments that support decision-making and policy evaluation. * Lead the development of dynamic financial models and forecasts, incorporating historical trends, economic indicators, and aviation industry datasets. Projections may include passenger throughput, aircraft operations, airline and non-airline revenues, operating expenses, and comparative benchmarking with peer airports. * Maintain and enhance long-range airport cash flow projections, ensuring alignment with the Airport Use and Lease Agreement (AULA) and other financial protocols. Analyze debt service, capital project funding, and operational revenue impacts to support financial planning and airline negotiations. * Design, organize, and deliver compelling presentations, translating complex financial data into accessible formats using written reports, oral briefings, and interactive visual dashboards developed in Tableau. Tailor insights for a range of audiences, from senior leadership to airline stakeholders. * Support electronic billing (eBilling) systems, assist in the development of tenant-level financial reports, track billing performance, and resolving discrepancies in coordination with finance and IT staff. * Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting, supporting operational initiatives, capital planning efforts, airline rate-setting, and various management requests. * Deliver accurate, well-supported analysis under tight deadlines as airport priorities evolve. * Continuously enhance analytical tools and methodologies, identifying opportunities for automation, improved data visualization, and integration of real-time metrics to improve the efficiency and quality of financial insights. Additional duties may be required for this position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a directly related field, plus one year of work experience in the analysis of financial records. * A valid State of Illinois driver's license is required. * The candidate(s) selected for hire must pass an airport background check and a Security Threat Assessment (STA).
