25-082.U - Construction Specialist

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Helps in identifying, planning, and executing projects aligned with the team's objectives including:
  • Oversee and assist construction and inspections crews performing electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil work and projects.
  • Assist in the installation, modification and repair of rotating equipment, process equipment, pipelines, tanks, vessels, controls, electrical and structural components.
  • Direct and assist in the set-up, operation, and repair of equipment and assisting field operators to adjust controls that control operational functions to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Work with the construction foreman and project manager(s) to ensure correct drawings, construction plans, AFEs, and field cost estimates. In addition, work closely with foreman and personnel assigned to the area in which the construction is taking place.
• Assist in executing all required industry standard inspections; should have working knowledge of inspections
• Be familiar with and assist in the project execution along with construction crews in the field. Be a visible safety champion in all aspects of the project.
• Provide project updates as required to the construction foreman as well as the project manager(s).
• Be able to communicate effectively with the project team and other key stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project objectives, timelines, and expectations.
• Help implement innovative project execution strategies as directed.
• Help manage documentation required for construction work, ensures complete and timely completion.
• Be able to lead work crews during the installation of production equipment, compressors, piping headers, along with various other required components of the project
• Detailed understanding in reading and comprehending PI&Ds, construction plans, and work scope documents.

Other Job Responsibilities:

• Works in the field to provide visible leadership and assist project execution teams, crews and contractors.
• Helps to identify ways to plan and execute projects to reduce costs and improve quality and/or safety.
• Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
• Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
• Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Three (3) years minimum experience in hands on maintenance, welding, and/or electrical operations of oil and gas pipelines, storage tanks, and production field equipment.
• High level knowledge of industry standards
• Preferred field experience with new pad construction, building out existing pad and compressor stations, installation of production equipment, and control systems.
• Ability to accurately solve problems.
• Ability to work long hours on assigned projects.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.

Education Requirements:

• Required: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
