Stinson LLP is seeking an Attorney with at least seven years of experience to join the Healthcare & Insurance Division. The Division is home to attorneys providing transactional and regulatory counsel to healthcare providers, health plans, and pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Due to the diversity of these practice areas, this position presents a unique opportunity to shape a practice and provides the right candidate a robust platform to develop and grow a thriving health law practice.

Qualified candidates will have at least seven years of relevant experience (as described below), possess excellent academic credentials, and have exceptional research, writing, analytical, organizational, leadership and communication skills. More specifically, candidates should have experience with the following:



  • Advising clients on healthcare fraud and abuse and compliance, including the Stark Law, federal and state anti-kickback statutes, Civil Monetary Penalties Law, and False Claims Act.
  • Advising and advocating for clients with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues, including resolution of overpayments, RAC audits, and OIG's Self-Disclosure Protocol and CMS Self-Referral Disclosure Protocols.
  • Advising health plans on compliance with state and federal laws governing marketing and member communications, non-discrimination requirements, rewards and incentives, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and other government programs.
  • Advising on corporate practice of medicine and management service organizations (MSOs).
  • Advising on transactional due diligence and negotiation of representations and warranties and disclosures for M&A and financing transactions for healthcare (and healthcare adjacent) companies.


Active license in the applicable jurisdiction or the ability to waive into practice is required.

Our attorney compensation structure has two components: (1) a base salary and (2) a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. The compensation range for this role is $230,000 - $260,000. The compensation range for this position is based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. The range is provided as an initial approximation at the time of posting and may vary based on the individual's unique qualifications and experience.
