We are currently seeking to fill our Dean - Georgia, School of Health Professions and Sciences position at the Georgia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

Position Summary
PCOM seeks a confident, nimble, and forward thinking leader who brings a balanced perspective to interdisciplinary health sciences education and is prepared to deliver on university-wide agendas with clarity and purpose.

As a full-time senior academic officer, the Dean of the School of Health Professions and Sciences directs and coordinates all activities of the School including but not limited to, Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy Studies, Forensic Medicine and Biomedical Science at Doctoral, Master and Certificate level education and at multiple campuses. The Dean will be responsible for academic programming, program finances, budgets, goals and objectives, legal documents, strategic planning, policy-making, accreditation, research and other areas as required, while ensuring alignment with institutional goals. The ideal candidate will be a credentialed graduate from one of the academic programs in the School (physician assistant studies, physical therapy, forensic medicine, medical laboratory science, cancer biology, or biomedical sciences) or other health related fields, bringing firsthand insight into the School's offerings. Importantly, this individual must bring a collaborative approach to leadership that champions all programs equally. The Dean reports directly to the Provost of PCOM and will play a central role in shaping the future of the School.

ESSENTIAL SUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
* Directs, supervise and/or participate in all functions related to PCOM School of Health Professions and Sciences.
* Reports directly to the PCOM Provost and consults accordingly to fulfill essential duties as required for school's success.
* Meets with faculty members and program directors of the school on a routine and as needed basis. Holds formal and informal meetings with student representatives.
* Attends and participate, as invited, to Provost, President, Executive Faculty, Corporation and Board of Trustees meetings.
* Apprise the Provost of all pertinent matters related to school's activity/potential issues.
* Develop and represent the School to external audiences, such as legislators, alumni, and other academic institutions.
* Represent the school at national, state and local meetings as well as conferences and conventions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
* Doctoral-level degree in one of the academic programs in the school (physician assistant studies, physical therapy, forensic medicine, medical laboratory science, cancer biology, or biomedical sciences) or other health related fields. Terminal degree is preferred.

Experience
* Minimum of 12 years of progressive training and experience as a Dean, Associate or Assistant Dean or Chair/Program Director of an academic unit at a college or university.

The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
