The National Workforce Operations Manager is responsible for optimizing and managing field labor deployment across the U.S., including management of National Delivery Service Drivers, National Technicians and Virtual Technicians' teams. This role ensures labor is strategically aligned with customer demand, improves service response time, reduces operational overhead, and supports a scalable, high-performance service infrastructure.

This position serves as the key link between field execution, centralized planning, and customer demands. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Centralized Services, the National Workforce Operations Manager drives planning and execution of the S&OP labor strategy and ensures flexible, proactive labor alignment to installations, de-installs, service work, and distribution work nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

National Labor & Team Management:

  • Lead and manage remote teams of National Delivery Service Drivers, National Technicians and Virtual Technicians to ensure strategic, proactive labor deployment and service excellence
  • Ensure flexible and efficient deployment of Techs and Drivers to meet service demands, reduce Out of Oils, and deliver a highly customer-focused approach.
  • Serve as a central coordinator for National Tech and Driver schedules to balance needs between travel, local and virtual support needs.
  • Drive productivity, development, and readiness through performance tracking and coaching.
  • Direct Virtual Tech scheduling to maximize labor efficiency, minimize travel, and optimize resource allocation
  • Prioritize virtual work order assignments based on geography, depot needs, time zones, staffing and backlog visibility.
  • Analyze technician productivity, resolution times, and labor ROI to drive data-backed decisions.
  • Collaborate with technical support, depot teams, and customer service to uphold SLA performance and service excellence.
  • Approve and optimize travel plans to ensure cost-effective, strategic driver routing.
  • Monitor driver behavior, compliance, and performance via Samsara and other telematics tools.
  • Conduct regular Hours of Service (HOS) audits to ensure full DOT compliance and safety.

Operations Labor Planning:

  • Conduct operational labor planning for depots, forecasting hours by service function (e.g., distribution, installs, de-install, technical repairs and backlog work) to ensure accurate labor alignment with depot-level and customer needs to achieve company goals.
  • Integrate closely with Sales, Operations, and Planning functions to translate install forecasts into resource strategies.
  • Build "what-if" labor models to simulate capacity needs under various demand scenarios.
  • Provide labor performance feedback into forecasting cycles to improve planning accuracy and execution.
  • Lead workforce slotting for new tech/DSD hires to ensure coverage and capacity where needed.

Operations & Communication:

  • Prepare reporting dashboards, depot annotations, and executive-level updates tied to performance and forecast alignment.
  • Maintain up-to-date compliance documentation and labor records.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Field Ops, OpEx, Centralized Services, and other Support teams.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in labor management, distribution and service operations, or multi-regional or National service logistics.
  • Strong understanding of S&OP principles and labor demand planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with large data sets across multiple systems
  • Prior leadership of remote or hybrid field/virtual teams preferred.
  • Proficient in workforce scheduling, scenario modeling, and performance analytics.
  • Experience with Samsara, Salesforce, Ortec or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS requirements.
  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional leader.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Compensation: The base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $145,000 per year, accompanied by a 30% annual incentive opportunity. Please note that the exact salary will depend on factors such as geographic location, market conditions, and the candidate's experience.
