Job Overview

Summary:
Milestone Technologies is seeking a Vendor Manager to lead vendor relationship management for Business Support Systems (BSS) providers supporting a client's wholesale program. This role is responsible for tracking, measuring, and reporting vendor performance against KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs, ensuring vendors meet commitments and contribute to the success of wholesale operations. The Vendor Manager will also evaluate the effectiveness of current metrics and recommend improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage vendor relationships for BSS providers supporting wholesale functions such as account creation, service activation, billing, and customer care.
  • Track and report on contractual KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs, ensuring timely and accurate vendor performance data.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing metrics and suggest new KPIs to improve performance measurement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, IT, operations, and business teams to align vendor performance with business needs.
  • Oversee contract compliance, financial reconciliations, and risk management related to vendor agreements.
  • Maintain regular communication with vendors through status meetings, scorecards, and performance reviews.
  • Own the continuous improvement of vendor performance metrics and contract compliance to drive business results.
  • Lead initiatives that influence cross-functional teams and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Utilize client provided vendor management and reporting tools to monitor and communicate performance data.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years proven experience in vendor management within an enterprise environment with a focus on KPI and metric tracking.
  • Experience defining custom KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs and establishing custom dashboards to track and report vendor performance.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership standing up a new vendor management program and incorporating new vendors as they are added.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and improve vendor performance metrics.
  • Experience working in Wireless Telecom or with BSS vendors preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of contract lifecycle management and vendor risk programs.
  • Proficiency with vendor management, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
  • Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week (hybrid schedule).
