Clinical Educator / Supervisor Opportunity - Partial Hospital Programs

HRI Hospital is seeking an experienced clinical professional to provide education and supervision to master's level interns and provide clinical and educational support to our Partial Hospitalization Programs. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position.

HRI Hospital is 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. The Partial Program at HRI Hospital offers both Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). Services include short-term intensive group therapy geared towards the unique mental health needs of the adult and specialty adult populations. Common issues addressed include, but are not limited to, mood instability, stress, anxiety, depression, disorganized thinking, trauma, co-occurring addictions, and gender dysphoria. Participants attend group therapy sessions, meet with a clinician for individual counseling and case management needs, and a psychiatric prescriber for medication management.

As the Clinical Educator / Supervisor, you will:

  • Provide licensure supervision for staff eligible for licensure in Mental Health Counseling and Social Work
  • Oversee Intern Program
    • Provides weekly supervision (individual and group)
    • Reviews student documentation
    • Interviews and places students in programs
    • Act as liaison for HRI with schools providing interns
    • Cosign and review documentation
    • Attends events at partner schools
  • Provides for orientation and annual training with appropriate documentation.
    • Conduct Clinical trainings during orientation including but not limited to: Boundaries and Trauma Informed Care & Service Excellence
    • Provide Trainings in Avenues for new hires for individual therapy notes, group notes and treatment planning
    • Provide clinical trainings on: groups, DBT, CBT, etc.
  • Interviews and recruits for HRI clinical staff in the PHP
  • Supports with curriculum development for PHP
  • Monitors that documentation reflects clinical status, clinical justification meets regulatory standards and meets identified time requirements.
  • Ensures that all clinical staff receive at least one (1) hour of supervision each week in either group or one-on-one sessions, depending on what staff need.
  • Ensures staffs' educational needs and training needs are met measured by use of tuition reimbursement, attendance at academic conferences, and appropriate consultation sessions.
  • Teaches and/or coordinates in-service presentations relevant to the identified learning needs of the staff
  • Assists in conducting new hire on-boarding and annual evaluations
  • Update policies in Policy stat for PHP
  • Supports with client crisis management
  • Fill in as needed for clinical coordinators for individual sessions and group sessions

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Education: Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Licensure: LICSW required
  • Experience:
    • Previous supervisory experience required
    • Familiarity with Intern training
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
    • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
    • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
    • Technology Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Zoom
    • Solid understanding of clinical practices and protocols
    • Proficiency in clinical documentation and reporting
