What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile all general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations prepared by the internal accounting team, while also being prepared to step in and perform hands-on tasks as needed.
  • Work with the Controller to ensure all transactions (fixed assets, cash management, general ledger transactions, etc.) are timely and properly recorded, financial reporting deadlines are met, and goals and objectives are established and facilitated.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and U.S. GAAP standards.
  • Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation to external auditors.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or unusual variances in account balances.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 2+ years of accounting or general ledger experience.

Skills and Abilities

  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, Net Suite, or similar)
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and pivot between tasks as priorities shift
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
