Patient Services Representative Location: Queenstown, MD Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Entry Level Shift: must be flexible to work between 7am-5pm, Fridays 7am-3pm Pay: $17 - $18/hr Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Services Representative to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is essential to ensuring a seamless patient experience from registration to billing, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Direct patient registration, insurance verification, billing, and collections to ensure accurate billing and efficient account management * Apply broad knowledge of front office practices and procedures, including use of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system * Demonstrate a strong understanding of insurance practices and procedures * Assist with billing-related issues and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards * Answer telephones and support patient check-in/check-out as needed * Direct patient inquiries to the appropriate provider * Schedule appointments and manage patient flow * Provide assistance to other office staff as needed * Maintain excellent customer service in all interactions with patients, coworkers, and the public * Uphold patient confidentiality and perform related duties as required Require Skills & Qualifications Top Skills: * Schedule appointments * Patient scheduling * Medical scheduling Additional Skills: * Strong customer service and communication skills * Attention to detail and a solid work ethic * Proficiency with computers and medical terminology * Experience in healthcare or call center environments highly preferred * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical setting Who Should Apply * Candidates with at least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting * Individuals from the service industry who excel in customer-facing roles * Professionals who are proactive, reliable, and passionate about patient care Ready to bring your skills to a team that values excellence and empathy? Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
