*Job Description* * The open position is for a key account coordinator, which is an outside sales representative role, a subsidiary of a Japanese parent company that manufactures and sells specialized greases and lubricants primarily to the automotive industry. * The role is based out of the Rolling Meadows, Illinois office * The hiring manager is the sales manager, and the role will report directly to him. * There is currently 1 open position for this direct hire role. *Job Duties:* * To retain and build good network with the customers which are large companies and distributor while being consistent with the global strategies from headquarters in Japan. * Understand the customer's business profile and function. * Be able to provide technical assistance to customers requiring understanding of their issues in the field of lubrication. * Must work with the marketing managers to provide the required technical information for the customer to offer high value-added products. * Must work with the Supply Chain Manager and the Inside Sales Supervisor, or the equivalents. *Top Skills Details* account management, engineering, lubrication, outside sales *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Must Haves: * 5+ years of sales experience, with a focus on the automotive industry or lubricants/chemicals. * Technical expertise or educational background in engineering or chemistry is preferred, as the products are highly specialized and technical. * Strong listening and communication skills are required, as the role involves liaising between customers and the R&D team. * The ability to research and pursue new leads and opportunities to expand the business is important, even though the role is primarily focused on maintaining the existing customer base.
