Position Purpose

The Senior Director, Digital Product Management, will be a strategic, hands-on leader responsible for defining, executing, and evolving the digital product strategy. This individual will lead a team of product managers, driving the development and optimization of user-centric digital experiences that achieve business objectives and deliver exceptional value to our customers. This role requires a blend of visionary leadership, deep technical understanding, strong business acumen, and a passion for building outstanding digital products.

This role is based at our National Support Center in San Diego and is a hybrid, 3-day-a-week in-office role.

Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and champion a comprehensive digital product vision and strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals and market trends.
  • Identify new opportunities for digital product innovation and growth, translating insights into actionable product roadmaps.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform product decisions.
  • Present product strategies, roadmaps, and performance updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Lead annual/quarterly product roadmap planning exercises, maintain a 2-3 year roadmap.

Product Management & Execution:

  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle for multiple digital products, from ideation and discovery to launch, iteration, and deprecation.
  • Define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and initiatives based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, ecomm, vet, store operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and successful launches.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success, identify areas for improvement, and demonstrate ROI.
  • Drive a data-driven approach to product decisions, leveraging analytics, user research, and market insights.
  • Lead product analytics, report and manage business results of all releases, quantify areas of opportunities and iterate through product refinement with the help of stakeholders
  • Champion agile methodologies and best practices within the product organization.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global team of digital product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent, building a strong and diverse product organization.
  • Provide clear direction, performance feedback, and opportunities for professional growth to team members.
  • Foster strong collaboration and communication within the product team and across departments.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, business unit leaders, customers, and partners.
  • Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to various audiences, tailoring the message to their needs.
  • Act as a primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into understandable business terms.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in product management, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing digital products.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling complex digital products that deliver significant business value and user satisfaction.
  • Deep understanding of the entire product lifecycle, from discovery and ideation to launch, growth, and optimization.
  • Strong experience with agile product development methodologies (Scrum, SAFE, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute digital product strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing product talent.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Productboard) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).

The pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations. These ranges may differ in other areas and could be subject to variation based on regulatory minimum wage requirements. Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
