Lead and manage the EMEAI PCG Quality Excellence Organization to achieve excellence in Quality Performance for all the region's businesses and functions from design, delivery and servicing of products at our customers. Includes Alignment of quality priorities and action plans in Global Supply Chain (GSC), Research and Development (R&D), Procurement, Performance Coatings Group (PCG), and Consumer Brands Group (CBG).
Drive improvement of Key Metrics including Opportunity Cost, Customer Complaints, Complaint Resolution Days, as well as first time right (OTMIS/DPTO) and Distressed Batch Rate, to improve business performance and Customer Satisfaction. Manage and develop the regional team to ensure good teamwork across Business Units and organize / facilitate training and team building to expand the team's capabilities. Responsible for developing and ensuring a culture that produces a quality product, both inside and outside the package as received by our customers through a matrix organization structure
Support the PCG and CBG regional businesses in the resolution of significant quality problems for key customers following disciplined best practice methodology. Leads Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) in the region including communicating regular status updates to the business unit leads. Drives complaint resolution with operations, R&D and commercial teams using ARC as appropriate. Creates trend analysis and reports to identify improvement opportunities and open CI projects where appropriate.
Develop, leverage and execute the regional strategic quality initiatives and/or strategic projects for the businesses to meet targeted results. Agree each year the "critical few" objectives for the region. Executes strategies to achieve compliance to the Quality Management System requirements, including Quality Standards compliance (QS-100 & QS-800 Series), Non-conformance Management (Discovery & ARC), and successful Commercialization of new products (New Formula Introduction). Supports initial program training and assessment to establish and execute action plans for full implementation. Ensure completion of regular program audits, execute action plans to close identified gaps and maintain compliance. Supports implementing and maintaining the Global Business Management System (GBMS) requirements, EHS compliance and ISO certification requirements, where applicable. Develops the ISO Multi-Site certification extending to other sites to drive standardization in the region using a common Business Framework (currently EBF). Works with EHS Leaders to integrate the management system with ISO 14001 elements. Co-ordinate the internal audit program in the region, ensuring through audits compliance to internal & external standards (e.g. QS Standards). Supports the compliance to additional Quality Programs (Microbial Control Program, Perfect Package Appearance, Opportunity Rex) for applicable sites in scope of each program. Provides leadership in developing, implementing and improving systems, tools and processes to maintain consistency, minimize duplication of efforts and achieve Primary Quality Metric goals in the most efficient way possible. Lead quality CI projects to drive results and improve efficiencies. Endeavour to achieve standardization within the region on Test methods and equipment alignment by co-ordinating Business unit specific projects on critical to quality tests. Project Execution
Manages the execution of quality projects, including for example roll out of SW Tools (e.g. Discovery / SherDocs). Ensures the effective implementation of new formulas into Manufacturing and coordinates ongoing technical service support to resolve operating issues. Evaluates and establishes the quality requirements for Integration Value Capture Resourcing projects to achieve finished goods quality control and design performance consistency. Manages the execution of integration related quality projects include resourcing optimization and plant closures. Supports SW IT Systems integration activities as they relate to the Quality and successful manufacturing of finished goods. Coordinates and communicates between R&D, Operations, Quality, Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain in GSC, PCG and CBG. Allocates resources as necessary to ensure timely completion of all projects. Develops the team's flexibility and ability to cover expanding regions and acquisitions.
Required:
- BS Chemistry/Engineering or related field
- 7 years relevant experience in Quality and/or R&D Operations
Preferred:
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certified
- Operations experience
