This is a Hybrid position that includes working 3-days per week in our Owatonna facility and remote 2-days. Ideal candidates will live within a 50-mile radius of our Owatonna facility. Additional considerations may be afforded to candidates that reside outside of a 50-mile radius from our Owatonna facility.

Our team in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager who is responsible for building our financial planning and analysis expertise and leading the reporting team in providing data driven analysis and insight to support effective decision making, evaluating, and identifying opportunities to improve the business.

At a minimum you'll need:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 5 plus years of progressive accounting and/or financial planning and analysis experience
  • Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency with Excel (e.g. Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Other Excel functionalities)
  • Experience with financial modeling
  • Proven strong business acumen and analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products



It'd be great if you also have:



  • Manufacturing experience/background
  • Experience with Epicor ERP system
  • Professional certifications; CMA, CPA, and/or MBA



As the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager a typical day might include:



  • Managing FP&A activities for the company, includingannual financial budget, forecast, and valuation
  • Managing preparation of monthly reporting to Executive teamand broader Leadership team
  • Performing variance analysis and identifyingkey drivers in support of business decisions
  • Developing a high performing FP&A functionality, serving as a trusted advisor to the organization and attracting and developing talent for the organization
  • Report writing, forecasting, consolidating and analyzing of financial information
  • Performing month end accounting entries and account reconciliations
  • Assisting in monitoring compliance of accounting policies and reconciliations and recommending changes to maintain proper internal control
  • Providing support for calculation and analysis of Pricing and Contracts
  • Supporting due diligence, financial analysis, and strategic analysis of partnerships and opportunities, including business development, joint ventures, financial projections, and go-to-market support.
  • Identifying and driving continuous improvement throughout the finance function
