What to Expect Tesla is searching for a passionate Associate Maintenance Manager highly motivated to lead part of the Production Control Maintenance Department at Gigafactory Nevada in implementing, maintaining and improving our world-class maintenance program. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department including the upkeep of all manufacturing assets and resources while developing and driving the team to continuous success. The Associate Maintenance Manager will oversee multiple shifts of Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians while supporting Tesla's mission to help accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. What You'll Do Establish and communicate direction and priorities for the maintenance team Drive the maintenance and reliability initiative focused on preventive and predictive maintenance rather than reactive maintenance Set and maintain departmental goals and KPI's, monitor line efficiencies, labor cost, and other department expenses Partner cross-functionally to manage, maintain and establish maintenance procedures for production lines to ensure production meets or exceeds the targets Provide training and continuous development to both direct and indirect reports Perform performance evaluations on direct reports Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations What You'll Bring Minimum 3 years of operations maintenance management with past hands-on experience maintaining industrial material flow equipment and automation Strong maintenance and reliability knowledge with applicable improvement and/or implementation experience Safety and risk management experience Strong knowledge/experience managing maintenance and preventative maintenance through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management system) Detail oriented and organized with proficient computer skills in spreadsheets; databases and word processing Excellent communication and coaching skills Self-motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skills and not afraid to get their hands dirty Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
