What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Material Flow, Program Manager to schedule, risk manage and communicate status of Production Control process change control. Working closely with Production Control Material Flow leadership, Process Engineers, Production leadership, System Support, Finance, Planning and Logistics teams for process development and leading the implementation of superior material processes for the Gigafactory. These process solutions need to effectively protect and integrate with both automated and manual material flow and manufacturing lines. In addition to working on material process solutions in the Gigafactory, the Program Manager will contribute to enhancing the development process and supporting tools.
What You'll Do
- Work collaboratively with fast-paced cross-functional teams to solve complex issues, set goals, track deliverables, and report out
- Identify and assist in removal of obstacles from the various teams to ensure the most timely and efficient path of full process change validation prior to implementation
- Assist in root cause identification of failures and drive the engineering, quality, supply chain and validation teams to ensure development of robust solutions to resolve potentially gating failures
- Perform updates in weekly program and exec reviews for current development and implementation status
- Enhance the development, tracking, reporting and sign off process, this includes highly effective IT tools implementation to maximize efficiency
- Assist in implementing systematic solutions to control inventory flow, minimize shortages, and maintain accuracy in ERP system, MOS system and MS Excel (where required)
- Begin to develop cross functional collaboration for change control process management across Production Control
- Other duties as required to meet program goals
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience working with design,development and implementation of process improvement projects. Preference in the automotive industry or high-speed automated lines
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate dynamic cross-functional projects with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and test to meet project timelines
- Proficient at-risk management and communication
- Experience working in time critical and fast-paced product development
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Strong process and continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to develop and implement effective project management tools
- Strong record-keeping and organizational skills necessary
