What to Expect
We are looking for a highly motivated, "hands-on" individuals to join our Mechanical Assembly Team for the assembly of a new generation of high speed, automated manufacturing equipment. The role includes mechanical assembly of machine components, interpreting mechanical drawings and pneumatic schematics, machining of parts, machine mechanical start-up, testing anddebugand some travel for machine installation and commissioning support.Mechanical Technician-will work on DuPont scheduled shift.This is a24 hourfacility so being on call and working shift is expected.Overtime is available on Saturday, depending on business needs. Competitive pay rate selected based on relevant experience.
What You'll Do
- Including assembly of precision machine components with some machining of parts (milling and turning) asrequired for assembly of custom engineered automated machinery. Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings assembly drawings and detail component drawings
- Mechanical systems testing anddebug, systems commissioning, installation and troubleshooting of machines on-site
- Installation of piping flanges,tanksand other vessels
- Repairs of rotating mechanical equipment; pumps, compressors, screw feeders and blowers are examples of some oftheequipment
What You'll Bring
- 2-3+ years of proven experience in assembly of custom automated machinery or other precision mechanical assembly is a strong plus.Degree or certificate in Mechanical Technology, Toolmaking or Machining, Millwright, completed apprenticeship or equivalent work experience. NCCER certifications are a plus but notrequired
- Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, mechanicaldrawingsand pneumatic schematics
- Familiar with basic hand tools.You mustbring your own tools
- Familiar with basic measuring tools (Vernier, micrometers, height gauge etc.) to tolerances of .001"Familiar with basic operation of machine shop equipment (lathe / mill / surface grinder)
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues, report, repair and/or correct the issues with minimal supervision. Experience with pumps, conveyors,compressorsand piping systems a plus
- Team player, can work independently
- Command of english language, both written and verbal
Essential Physical Demands:
- Stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced, noisy environment
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in varying temperatures and environments
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and kneel as needed
