Job Summary

**This is a limited appointment and position will end on 9/1/2026
Under direct supervision, acquires skills and knowledge of professional concepts in research data analysis. Works on small projects or segments of projects with limited scope and complexity. Involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data. Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings. Prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $63,700 - $65,000 (Annual Rate).

Department Description

The UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences brings together world-class researchers to solve some of the most complex challenges of understanding he human brain. The Foundations of Cognition Lab within the Weill Institute for Neurosciences uses experimental and computational approaches to understand the function of healthy brains and the origins of dysfunction in brain disease. The hiree will contribute on one or more projects in the lab to develop data acquisition and analysis pipelines for specific scientific questions and funded collaborative efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Acquiring knowledge of research function. Acquiring ability to perform research analysis duties
• Acquiring statistical analysis, systems programming, and database design skills to perform research analysis duties.
• Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline.
• Basic consultation and communication skills.
