JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing overall project management support for several small to medium mission critical projects or on one very large mission critical project. This position will provide overall supervision and technical management on construction project sites from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer. The Senior Project Manager shall be responsible for all the following tasks and actions. They may choose to delegate to more appropriate persons on their team; however, they are ultimately responsible.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • A working knowledge of electrical construction at a level normally acquired through completion of five-year electrical apprentice program; and
  • 5+ years' experience in a project management position in the construction industry.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Five years' experience in a project management position outside of OEG
  • Two years' experience in Mission Critical Data Center Construction
  • Electrical apprenticeship, journeyman, wireman, project foremen/ general foreman, mentorship
  • Construction management degree

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office
  • Tactful and has professional demeanor, and ability to interact effectively with manager, employees, vendors and others
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance * Opportunity for travel may be available

  • Site labor coordination and scheduling
  • Budgeting and estimating
  • Documentation/submittals/O & M's
  • Coordinate purchasing and sub-contracts
  • Production tracking
  • Quality control/quality assurance
  • Project cost control and billing
  • Project cost to complete/forecasting
  • Project change orders
  • Project closeout
  • Internal/external communication
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned
