Technical Sales Representative - Analytical Testing (South East)

Biotage is seeking a dynamic and driven Technical Sales Representative to join the team promoting and selling Biotage's Analytical Chemistry portfolio including SPE consumables and instrumentation across the South East US Territory. This role is ideal for a scientific sales professional passionate about building customer relationships and driving strategic growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Consistently achieve defined monthly, quarterly and annual targets within assigned territory.
  • Drive customer awareness and understanding of Biotage products through strategic sales calls, educational seminars and hands on demonstrations.
  • Conduct product demonstrations - Both in person and virtually, supporting the sales process highlighting product value.
  • Identify new business opportunities building strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Apply a consultative sales approach to ensure customer success and long term satisfaction.
  • Provide first line technical support to customers, including hands on development and troubleshooting of SPE sample preparation methods at customer sites.
  • Deliver customer training to maximize the value and performance of Biotage solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Biotage Application Scientists to develop advanced or complex SPE sample preparation methods.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to internal teams, maintaining regular communication with inside sales teams to maximize on opportunities.
  • Submit timely and accurate sales forecasts to leadership and finance teams.
  • Prepare and negotiate quotes for customers.
  • Maintain up to date records of sales activities and customer interactions with the CRM system


Skills and experience

  • BSc in Science or related field (Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven track record of success in sales and account management (Experience selling scientific equipment is highly desirable)
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively, self-starter with strong organisational skills
  • Experience working in a chemistry laboratory environment with Biotage or related workflow tools is a plus



The role will be field based travelling to customer sites with extensive travel required (60 - 70% expected in the first year)
