Overview:
Join a dynamic and creative team dedicated to celebrating 100 years of musical excellence. We're seeking a highly organized and innovative professional to lead marketing, outreach, and event coordination efforts for the Department of Music. This role offers the opportunity to promote concerts and performances, elevate our public presence, and contribute to student recruitment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Outreach
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote concerts, performances, and special events across digital and print platforms.
- Craft and distribute engaging news articles highlighting departmental and faculty achievements.
- Collaborate with a student content creator to coordinate and curate content for social media platforms.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Lead the planning and promotional efforts for the Department's 100 Years of Music celebration.
- Coordinate logistics and communications for concerts, student recruitment events, and performances.
- Partner with Program Coordinators to plan and implement targeted recruitment activities.
- Serve as the primary liaison to ensemble directors, theater crew, and other event stakeholders.
- Manage concert logistics, including scheduling, ticketing, promotion, and internal communications.
- Work closely with the university's Ticketing Office to ensure seamless operations.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education |
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Arts Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in marketing, event coordination, or a similar role; experience in a performing arts or academic setting is a plus.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok) and familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
