Library Research & Information Services Job Description
This position performs stacks management to make space improvements for student learning and study. Tasks include analyzing and compiling lists in Excel and data-entry into a database. They also include more physical tasks such as pulling, boxing, tubbing, sorting, and shifting journals, books, and other materials. The position reports to the Library Information Specialist Sr for Shelving. Key Job Duties:
Shift
20 hours per week, primarily daytime shifts. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
NOTE: This position is required to move wheeled book trucks weighing up to 50 pounds; shelve materials in alphanumeric order with occasional use of foot stools and/or ladders; work at a desk and/or in front of a computer screen for up to 8 hours a day; and must be able to withstand some exposure to mold and dust.
