The Methods Planner - Supports aircraft MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) operations by developing, maintaining, and improving work instructions, routings, and maintenance plans. This role requires deep knowledge of repair techniques and hands-on experience with structural repairs to ensure maintenance activities are executable, efficient, and compliant with all regulatory standards.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure all work plans align with FAA, OEM, and internal compliance requirements

* Develop and implement Repair and Maintenance methods and procedures

* Develop repair solutions based on condition of the component

* Optimize repair processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste

* Provide interpretation guidance to evaluation and inspection teams and liaise with Design Engineering team for repair solutions

* Escalate maintenance manual out of limit conditions to engineering

* Develop and maintain Bill of Materials

* Develop work instructions, procedures, and documentation for Repair and Maintenance processes

* Determine the optimal cycle time for each task, identifying potential areas for improvement in work methods and ergonomics

* Identify and recommend necessary tooling and equipment upgrades to improve Repair and Maintenance efficiency and quality

* Identify and implement cost-saving measures within Repair and Maintenance processes

* Monitor Repair and Maintenance quality metrics including first time yield and implement countermeasures

* Train Repair and Maintenance personnel on new methods and procedures to ensure proper implementation and adoption


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Proficient key boarding skills and strong working knowledge using Microsoft Office applications

* Minimum of 4+ years hands-on FAA Part 145 Repair Station MRO experience in sheet metal repair or structural assembly

* Comprehensive understanding of aircraft structural materials of aircraft structural materials, fastener types, corrosion treatment, and forming techniques

* Comprehensive understanding of Boeing and Airbus aircraft structural components

* Skilled in preparing detailed, accurate repair plans and instructions for structural components in accordance with approved OEM data.

* Proficiency in identifying and documenting accurate repair instructions for metal components

* Familiarity with torque specs, tooling selection, and use of shop equipment like brakes, rollers, shrinkers/stretchers, etc.

* Strong working knowledge of FAA repair documentation, quality processes, and repair station procedures.

* High attention to detail with the ability to write clear, accurate, and executable planning documents

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-precision environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Hands-on experience with both metallic and composite structural repairs, including identification of appropriate repair techniques and materials.

* Working knowledge of engine nacelle components, with specific experience in the inspection and repair of thrust reversers, Fan Cowl Doors, Common Nozzle, Tail Cone and Inlet structures.

* Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills, able to interface across engineering, quality, and production teams to support repair planning and execution.

* Familiarity with ERP/MRP platforms and digital planning systems, with the ability to generate, manage, and track work instructions and planning documentation.

* FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred, demonstrating foundational regulatory knowledge and hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
