Job Responsibilities

Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis serves as an integral member of the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team. Position works closely with executive leadership across thecompany and reports to Executive Director FP&A. Contributes to the development and achievement of the organization's strategic goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary contact within FP&A for the IT function, working closely with the functional leaders to provide business finance support on Budgeted, Forecasting and spend management.
  • Assist with reviewing and tracking various IT projects from the return-on-investment perspective and help prioritizing investment request that aligns with Business Strategy.
  • Perform key month end analysis to explain Actual Vs Budgeted performance that helps with effective cost management.
  • Distribute and assist with interpretation of key financial reports including KPIs post month end, to the functional leaders and communicate actions needed.
  • Support Finance Director to provide ongoing financial support to Corporate; ensure management of tight timelines and ad hoc request including Quarterly reporting.
  • Assist with the process improvement opportunities and continue to refine quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting materials for executive leadership team as well as Corporate FP&A.
  • Actively manage and mentor Corporate FP&A analyst(s).
  • Additional activities include engaging on complex strategic initiatives, partnerships with functional leaders, strategic planning, and other similar transactions.
  • Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent related education and experience; plus, a moderate, progressive financial experience, preferably within a CRO or pharmaceutical environment.
  • 5+ years working in Business Finance or FP&A Capacity
  • Strong analytic, communication and computer skills needed utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
  • Proficiency with accounting software packages is necessary and Oracle Finance experience preferred.
  • SOX experience preferred and solid understanding of GAAP required.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Salary Range:

$79,800.00 - $139,600.00

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
