Tax Staff

We're looking for a Indirect Tax Staff to join our growing Tax team in the Woodlands, TX!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare federal and state excise tax returns
• Prepare and review heavy vehicle use tax returns
• Prepare property tax returns and bill payment reconciliations
• Process bill payments for indirect tax types
• Prepare tax accrual and tax payment journal entries
• Prepare state and local tax registrations
• Maintain the indirect tax compliance calendar
• Respond to notices and information requests from tax authorities
• Research indirect tax matters based on local regulations

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience working in an accounting department
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with an emphasis on detail
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Tackle and resolve unexpected challenges throughout the workflow process
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
