Sr. Analyst - Global Logistics

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Sr. Analyst - Global Logistics are to compile, standardize, and analyze all global logistics spend and shipment data to create actionable Power BI dashboards - across all modes. This role will liaise with Finance using this data analysis in order to optimize accruals, forecasting, and budgeting processes. The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for not only identifying favorable or unfavorable spend/shipment characteristic trends but also work with Logistics team to confirm the nature of these trends, ultimately determining whether they carry short or long-term impacts.

Responsibilities

• Compile, standardize, and analyze all global spend and shipment data across all regions and all modes to create actionable Power BI dashboards
• Liaise with Finance using global spend and shipment characteristic data analysis in order to optimize accruals, forecasting, and budgeting processes
• Using the routine data analysis, work with Logistics to identify further optimization opportunities and then confirm and report on these optimization deliverables.
• Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc reporting/analysis of logistics KPIs and other shipping data for logistics teams, upper-level management, sales and operation teams and others as needed.

Experience

• Related Experience in data analysis/reporting
• Logistics experience/exposure
• Extensive Power BI or other Data Analytics Tool experience

Skills

• Demonstrated ability to use logic and problem-solving skills to independently isolate and identify opportunities in reporting/analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, including an ability to explain complex systems/processes clearly and concisely via reporting tools.
• Self-starter with a strong interest in analysis and process design, capable of working independently on data analysis and reporting with a high degree of initiative.
• Advanced Excel and PowerBI skills
• Must demonstrate a basic grasp of relational database structures and queries. MS Access experience preferred. Experience with business intelligence/analytics software. i.e. PowerBI
