Position Summary

This role is responsible for employee training, training technology, and innovation functions within Farm Credit East. As a member of the Communication, Learning and Engagement team, the incumbent will provide training and tools to meet the mission, vision, objectives, goals, and values of the Association.

  • Building relationships across the organization to understand the impact of all strategic decisions and support employees and customers adapt and adopt these strategies through training.
  • Create and organize online learning and development content, assist the ACA's innovation process and new technology platform training, and uphold a positive community image through involvement with agricultural organizations and educational institutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Training



  • Training Course Development and Execution: works with training facilitators to plan and execute successful training programs; prior to the program, work with the facilitator(s) to create appropriate agendas, provide recommendations to increase class engagement, make facilitators aware of training resources, and determine outcomes and objectives
  • Training Facilitation: facilitates live training sessions as appropriate; as new SMEs join our facilitation team, help them learn the skills needed to be effective facilitators and trainers as well
  • New Employee Training Tracks: Works with SMEs to ensure all new employee training tracks are up-to-date. Reviews the training track process (at least annually) to align with ACA business processes and job role responsibilities.
  • Training Initiatives: monitors training industry trends and research topics relevant to FCE's training and business needs; communicates with staff, regional leaders, SLT/ELT and others as applicable to understand the skills needed to be successful on the job and understand training gaps; continues to refine and improve the remote training facilitation strategy



Technology, Innovation, Special Projects



  • Business Plan Initiatives: actively participates in the planning and/or execution of any training or administrative initiatives; is proactive in thinking how and when training layer into business plan initiatives
  • Absorb: Assists in the management of our LMS platform to ensure that staff are getting the resources they need and successfully working through their on-boarding processes



Compensation and Benefits:



  • Salary Range: $55,000 to $85,000 commensurate with experience
  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Economics, Finance, Business or a related field
  • 3 - 5 years experience in Learning and Development preferred
  • Short-Term Incentive to reward business results
  • Retirement Contributions :


    • 401k match up to 6% of salary;or for those unable to take full advantage of the 401(k) match, verified student loan payments may qualify for an employer match in your 401(k) up to 6% of salary
    • Defined Contribution retirement plan funded at 2-9% of salary depending on years of service


  • Time Off:


    • 15-25 days of vacation leave per year, depending on years of service
    • 12 days of holiday leave per year
    • 7.5 days of sick leave in your first year, followed by 12 days of sick leave per year thereafter; unlimited rollover of unused sick leave year to year
    • Paid Parental Leave: Up to 80 hours of paid leave for birthing, non-birthing, and adoptive parents
    • Family Care Leave: Additional leave options available under FMLA and company policy
