As the Senior Director of Product Line Management (PLM) at Infinera, you will spearhead the multi-year business strategy for our industry-leading DWDM coherent optics solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, R&D, and supply chain, to define revenue goals and go-to-market strategies while enabling customer interactions that drive market growth. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in aligning product roadmaps with business objectives and technology evolution. - Lead the development and execution of a multi-year business plan for industry-leading DWDM coherent optics, shaping revenue and profitability strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with R&D, supply chain, sales teams, and executive leadership to drive product success.
- Interact with key customers to understand their needs and feedback, integrating insights into product development and marketing strategies.
- Identify high-value applications and support the RFP process to maximize customer engagement and win new business.
- Develop and deliver compelling marketing materials and pricing strategies to effectively communicate product value propositions.
- Facilitate alignment between optical business units on technology evolution and roadmap objectives.
- Evaluate business cases, competitor benchmarks, and return-on-investment scenarios to inform strategic decisions.
- Enable sales organizations during the product market introduction phase, ensuring teams are equipped with necessary resources and training.
You have:
- 10+ years of experience in Product Management or System Architecture in optical communication
- Proven ability to develop multi-year business plans and deliver on profit/loss commitments
- Strong experience in customer interaction and business development
- Exceptional presentation skills for management, customers, and conferences
It would be nice if you also had:
- Background in optical transceiver products or related technologies
- Experience working in a distributed, international team environment
- Ability to evaluate return-on-investment scenarios and competitor benchmarks
- Skills in marketing strategy development and pricing optimization
