The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks a collaborative and creative Digital Media Production Manager to join the Information Technology department in Daytona Beach, Florida in a hybrid role. Reporting to the Executive Director of Digital Strategy and Experience, the Digital Media Production Manager will create and oversee video, audio, and photographic content that engages the general public, industry partners, alumni, news media, internal staff and more.

This role will manage multiple multimedia projects from conception to completion, including production, photography, motion graphics, animation, audio and music. Examples of initiatives and services include but are not limited to newsroom request. Presidential and Provost events, philanthropy and alumni projects, university-wide and industry events, and Strategic research request.

The Digital Media Production Manager will oversee two digital media specialists as well as a group of student workers and freelancers. In addition, they will work closely with the Enrollment Marketing Multimedia team to ensure that all multimedia content created is aligned with the University's branding and Messaging.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

  • Area of Concentration: Digital media production, photography, communications or a related field.

Required minimum numbers of years' work-related experience:

  • 5-10 years in creative/marketing

Required Skills, Knowledge, abilities:

  • Demonstrated expertise in photography and videography shooting, editing, and post-production using industry-standard equipment and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Photoshop) with a portfolio of creative work
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multimedia production best practices, including lighting, sound, composition, and visual storytelling
  • Experience with motion graphics and/or animation programs, such as After Effects
  • Experience leading, training, and mentoring a creative team, with a track record of building accountability and positive team dynamics
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and resolve production or personnel challenges
  • Demonstrated project management abilities, including scoping, scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication
  • Ability to develop scripts and storyboards and guide the creative process from concept to final delivery
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across departments and with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to meet with clients or internal stakeholders to clarify project goals, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction
  • Digital asset management experience

  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to travel as needed
