Job Overview

Performs general maintenance painting, paint mixing, wall patching, stenciling, lettering, wallpapering, stain and finish work. Performs complex molding repair work and proficient in general maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities

POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE
No direct patient care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. General Maintenance Painting. Covers surfaces with drop-cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. Smooths surfaces, using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool, or sanding machines. Applies primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats.
2. General Molding and Patching. Fills cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives. Repairs or creates moldings per projects as part of painting repair or prep work.
3. Coordination. Reads and interprets work orders or received instructions from supervisors or client to determine work requirements. Estimates time and materials by job, orders supplies and materials as needed, coordinates projects, and completes documentation.
4. Documentation. Receives, plans and documents work in a facilities and space management electronic system.
5. Coverage. Fills in for other painters as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degrees
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • Three years of commercial painting experience plus two years of facility maintenance experience. Requires basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, safety skills.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Hourly Range: $22.20 to $33.30
