We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Control to join our Global Clearing Platform Control Team. This role is located in Lake Mary, FL. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- This role resides in the First Line Control Team of the Global Clearing Platform. The team is responsible for the delivery of Platform risk and control strategy, roadmap and priorities.
- The role will support the successful running of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment across all entities within the client platform.
- Support and lead the Global Asset Safety (Customer Protection Rules SEC15-c3 or FCA Client Assets Rules) strategy and control oversight functions for the Global Clearing platform.
- Being on point for Control Testing, Internal Audits, Compliance Reviews, External Audits when required.
- Providing oversight and guidance to platform leadership team on global regulations (such as MiFID, Senior Manager Certification Regime under the FCA in the UK) and reviewing Regulatory Committee forms ahead of client onboarding to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical support for the ongoing maintenance and improvements to the Baseline workflow tool/Power Automate/Power BI/Alteryx/AI agents.
- Support Control Teams vision of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) initiatives to improve and deliver efficiencies for control functions.
- Collaborate with 2 line compliance officer, operational risk officers to ensure agreement across diverse opinions to move forward with risk assessments, reply to challenges posed by the 2nd line and resolve any queries.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
- 3-5 years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience in compliance, risk, control or operational governance is preferred, with demonstrated problem solving and analytical ability, and strong oral and written communication skills including providing technical advice.
- Organized, reliable team player who takes initiative with a strong capacity to work autonomously.
- Responsibility towards client outcomes, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and the team.
- Preferred track record of using business intelligence or AI tools to automate/drive efficiencies in control/operational processes.
- Ability to be able to work through aggressive timelines with various competing targets & ensure appropriate expectation management with agile mindset for iterative delivery of tasks/initiatives.
- Proficient with Microsoft office tools such as Excel, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Point.
