Job Posting End Date: Until Filled Shift: 1st Security Clearance: No Clearance SUMMARY Responsible for developing WAFs utilizing the Electronic Work Authorization Form System (eWAFS); for work control and controlling tag-out of equipment using Electronic Shift Operations Management System (eSOMS) and to work with ship's force to install and remove tags in accordance with established availability schedule. Responsibilities also include daily coordination and reporting of WAFs and Tag-Outs (T-O) on assigned ship within established objectives. Reports to the Ship Manager. Liaison closely with Quality Assurance, Planning, Engineering, Subcontractors, Materials, Safety, Customers, Vendors and other NASSCO Departments as appropriate. Develop inter-personal communications with Trade Supervision. Actively participate in the creation of policies/procedures that will enhance the role of 3-M Coordinator. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES * Ensure WAF/T-O employees have minimum ESOMS/eWAFs certification prior to being dispatched to perform work SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time effectively, including managing and meeting deadlines PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to climb vertical ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights, Must be physically able to commute to various areas of the shipyard and Naval Base San Diego. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to dust, welding/burning fumes, and smoke. The noise level is usually moderate to extremely noisy, which may include sirens, horns, chipping, and hammering. ACCOUNTABILITY Directly accountable for completion of assigned area, adhering to schedule, budgets and safe working conditions. Payscale: $67,300 - $88,800 This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education.
