Deputy CISO

General Purpose of the Job

The Deputy CISO - International Support is a senior leader within the Information Security team, responsible for safeguarding patient data and digital healthcare systems across the organization's international operations. This role supports the CISO in implementing a unified cybersecurity strategy, while ensuring compliance with healthcare-specific regulatory requirements.

Drive Global Security Strategy

  • Implement and adapt enterprise cybersecurity programs to protect international healthcare systems, including EHRs, medical devices, and digital platforms.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

Direct Incident Response and Resilience Efforts

  • Lead international response to breaches and cyber threats, ensuring localized continuity plans and rapid recovery.

Secure Digital Health Innovation

  • Partner with IT and product teams to embed security into telehealth, patient portals, and emerging digital health solutions.

Advise Global Leaders and Integrate Security into Operations

  • Act as a strategic advisor to international business and clinical leaders, aligning security with organizational goals and operations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 10+ years of information security experience, with at least 3+ years in a global or regional leadership role within the healthcare sector
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare cybersecurity risks, patient privacy, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27799, NIS2)
  • Experience working with international clinical systems, hospital IT, and medical device security
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Health Informatics, or related field; Master's preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, HCISPP, CISM, CISA)
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital health technologies
  • Strong cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience supporting clinical leaders and operationalizing security in patient care settings
  • Multilingual or experience working in multilingual environments is a plus

The Salary Range for the role is $146,600.00-$215,300.00 per year. If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position. New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour, Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $17.66/hour, Burien: $21.16/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour, Renton: $20.90/hour, Seattle: $20.76/hour, Tukwila: $21.10/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour
