What You'll Do:

Fleet System Administrator is responsible for processing and validating physical identification and labeling of all equipment, and maintaining equipment data (serial and model numbers, description, and pertinent machine modifications). Responsible for assisting and supporting Division Staff, Operations, Financial Services, and Procurement by providing reports, analyses, and interpretations of equipment statistics and financial information to support regional Goals. Assist with Capital and Operating Budgets as follows:

  • Data entry ensures all assets are entered into the Fleet Management System.

  • Responsible for adding/modifying PM schedules for all equipment in the system.

  • Maintain Work Orders for Central Services. This includes opening and closing work orders with completion notes for all repairs.

  • Lead in helping Plant Managers establish, maintain, and direct mobile and fixed equipment preventive maintenance programs.

  • Maintain the oil analysis system, including setting up new equipment, transferring equipment, updating lubes and quantities, and training end users on system requirements.

  • Monitor oil sampling program for fixed and mobile equipment assets, recommending actions for results out of tolerance and trending acceptable results to predict failure.

  • Generate customized, standard and ad-hoc reports outlining Equipment Costs for budget planning and Projected Replacement of mobile equipment.

  • Review and provide reporting on Open Work Orders with Plant and Area Management to ensure alignment with Vulcan's best practices.

  • Process and document equipment transfers and advise on documenting maintenance actions for mobile equipment assets.

  • Demonstrate leadership in planning, designing, and establishing data entry standards used in the Fleet Management System.

  • Ensure dependable application of Fleet Management System procedures, data integrity, and security assignments required to interface maintenance, procurement, and inventory functions.

  • Provide support to end users through both on-site and remote communications.

  • Review reports throughout the month and at month-end to ensure the system is utilized correctly, and follow up with users and managers when problems are determined.

  • Responsible for executing equipment transfers with the Fleet Management System.

  • Maintain equipment numbers in the accounting database and the procurement system.

  • Participate in month-end accounting functions regarding diesel fuel/gasoline inventory, accounting, and fuel allocation. Prints inventory reports, reviews reports, and creates journals via the system software. Investigate discrepancies in data from the plants regarding physical versus book inventory.

  • Additional Responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

* High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

* Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and computer skills are required.

* Experience administering databases or deployed applications and report writing is desired.

* Experience in managing plant and fleet maintenance in the aggregates industry is a plus.

* Must be proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Must be comfortable with computer systems and learning new software.

* Able to communicate with employees at various levels of the organization.

* Candidates with an equivalent combination of training and work experience, including financial and analytical skills, will be considered.

* Some travel will be required, approximately 10% overnight travel
