Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

Position Summary
The position is responsible for providing critical administrative support to the Area Chair, area faculty, and related centers, if applicable. This position is responsible for all administrative matters relating to the area concentration. Additionally, the area assistant is charged with communication and planning for meetings, conferences, and other events for the area. This position serves as liaison between the Area Chair and area faculty, the MBA, Executive MBA and Executive Development programs, the office of the Dean, other area faculty, current and prospective students, alumni and supporters.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Bachelors Degree is preferred, as well as work experience in higher education.
