We are looking for an experienced AI Automation Engineer with deep expertise in data analysis, AI architecture, and machine learning integration within industrial automation systems. This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about turning raw machine and process data into predictive insights, autonomous control strategies, and intelligent equipment features-without relying on vision-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy AI and machine learning models for predictive maintenance, process optimization, and anomaly detection using machine telemetry and sensor data.
  • Architect end-to-end AI pipelines-from data ingestion and preprocessing to model deployment at the edge or in the cloud.
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate AI-driven logic into PLC, SCADA, and HMI environments.
  • Work with historians, MES, and SCADA systems to collect, clean, and analyze industrial data for learning models.
  • Optimize system performance through data analysis, pattern recognition, and feedback control strategies.
  • Develop digital twins, simulators, or rule-based models to augment AI deployment and testing.
  • Build scalable, maintainable AI systems that align with control and automation standards.
  • Assist in evaluating new tools, platforms, and algorithms for use in industrial AI initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven background in data engineering, statistical modeling, and AI/ML algorithm development.
  • Strong understanding of time-series analysis, process control theory, and signal processing.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL.
  • Experience with edge deployment frameworks (ONNX) and industrial hardware integration.
  • Familiarity with automation platforms: Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley, OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus.
  • Experience architecting AI systems in manufacturing, IoT, or process industries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
  • 3+ years in industrial automation, equipment R&D, or manufacturing environments using AI for decision support or autonomous control.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based ML tools (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and safe AI deployment in OT environments.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Systems thinker with strong architecture-level decision-making ability.
  • Comfortable working with cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Can explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passionate about transforming traditional industrial equipment into intelligent systems.
