Engineer - Reliability (Kennecott Utah Copper LLC, South Jordan, UT)

Ensure reliability and performance of assets through various strategies and programs. Facilitate Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Planned Maintenance Optimization (PMO). Implement and manage processes to eliminate defects. Facilitate root cause analysis for chronic issues, driven by the defect elimination process. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in Delay Loss Accounting Systems and Asset Taxonomy. Develop and oversee condition monitoring programs. Manage and optimize hydrocarbon management programs. Conduct life cycle cost analysis to optimize asset management. Perform reliability block modeling to predict asset performance. Analyze and promote reliability growth. Utilize predictive analytics for Remaining Useful Life (RUL) assessments. Conduct critical spares analysis to ensure availability of essential parts. Perform asset criticality analysis to prioritize maintenance efforts. Ensure the integrity and reliability of assets through thorough analysis. Implement and manage programs to operate assets reliably. Integrate reliability principles into the design phase of assets. Fulfill underground safety standard requirements as needed.

Telecommuting permitted up to 10% per week.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $121,801.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.

Must have 3 years of experience in:

  • Applying Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Planned Maintenance Optimization (PMO);
  • Knowledge of fixed assets, materials of construction, chemical compatibility, and creation of standards;
  • Computerized maintenance management system (SAP); and
  • Using and integrating predictive and preventive maintenance tools, technologies, and practices: Root cause analysis, defect elimination, Emerson products for vibration and heat
    analysis, UE, or IR Flir cameras.

Must have 2 years of experience in:

  • Root cause analysis techniques;
  • Stakeholder communication; and,
  • Project management.
