With CCTV cameras, pre-built vehicles, and software for pipeline inspection and rehabilitation, we improve the safety and reliability of our water infrastructure systems.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As Vehicle Assembly Manager, you will oversee daily operations on the assembly line. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of Supervisors, technicians, and assemblers, ensuring vehicles are assembled safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate production schedules, monitor workflow, and implement process improvements while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at Cues, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Strategic Alignment & Continuous Improvement
  • Serve as a change agent within the assembly organization, promoting adoption of new systems, processes, and behaviors aligned with the company's transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align frontline operations with organizational goals around lean manufacturing, digitalization, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and HR to ensure alignment of priorities and resources.
  1. Operations & Performance Management
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the vehicle assembly line, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety goals are consistently met.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize production KPIs such as throughput, first-time quality, cycle time, and labor efficiency.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks and waste by leveraging lean manufacturing tools (e.g., 5S, value stream mapping, standard work).
  • Ensure consistent adherence to internal and external quality standards, supporting audits and driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  1. Leadership, People Development & Culture:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and line staff, building a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and adaptability.
  • Champion employee engagement and buy-in through clear communication and a focus on team development during the transition.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and motivating work environment, encouraging cross-functional problem solving and innovation at the shop floor level.

Communicate key updates, goals, and progress to leadership and floor teams in a timely and transparent manner

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in vehicle or complex product assembly within an OEM or Tier 1 supplier environment.
  • Proven experience managing teams during organizational or operational changes is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or operational excellence methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of team engagement, development, and performance improvement.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, production dashboards, and continuous improvement tools.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Computer skills, Microsoft office suite
  • Experience integrating Industry 4.0 solutions, automation, or digital work instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels and functions.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Lean / Six Sigma Certification

Travel & Working Environment

  • 0% Travel for trainings
  • In office Monday-Friday
