Description

FUNCTION: The Prep Clerk I prepares documents for processing.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Removes staples and paperclips from documents.
  • Organizes documents according to department standards.
  • Sorts incoming mail according to procedures.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:



  • Able to handle high volumes of work.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Great attendance.
  • May entail standing, twisting, kneeling, squatting and bending for a period of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
