Celebrating a Century: https://100.scripps.edu/ POSITION SUMMARY: The Data Scientist is responsible for collecting data using analytical, statistical, and programming skills. They will use data to support projects for research on Long COVID and the innovation arm of the All of Us Research Program (All of Us). This includes analyzing wearable sensor data to identify clinical outcomes, conduct predictive modeling to identify relevant participant cohorts, and predict engagement and retention behavior in studies. They will support data cleaning and management of large datasets of health data that are collected through different research programs, frequently interact with other teams within Scripps Research, and will collaborate closely with researchers with expertise in behavioral science, clinical research and artificial intelligence. They will also produce written reports and presentations for external audiences, including funding partners and academic publications. The role is a unique opportunity for someone with skills and interest in data science techniques to deepen their capabilities across a varied set of tasks and types of data. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This is remote position. This is a temporary position anticipated for about 6 months. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: May include: Stationary position for an extended period of time, lifting, traverse campus/facility as needed, operate machinery such as computer, phone, copy machine; exposure to cold or hot temperatures. COMPENSATION: The expected hiring range for this position is $70,000 to $90,679 per year, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
