LMS Administrator American Public Education Inc. We are seeking a strategic and service-oriented LMS Administrator to manage the day-to-day operations and support the ongoing optimization of our internal-facing Docebo LMS. In this role, you'll maintain learning content, assist system users, and help deliver a seamless training experience across the organization. You will manage reporting, configure content, support system improvements, and serve as the primary contact for LMS-related technical support. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to increase adoption, support power users, and develop solutions that address training needs. Responsibilities: Docebo LMS Administration
- Serve as the primary administrator for the Docebo LMS, managing permissions, audience targeting, learning plans, and system configurations.
- Design and build courses, certifications, catalogs, and learning paths aligned to employee development needs.
- Maintain and update the course library, including content uploads (e.g., SCORM, xAPI, video), testing, and tagging for discoverability.
- Support content governance standards, naming conventions, and lifecycle management of training materials.
- Collaborate with internal clients to transition manual job-related processes and training into scalable solutions using Docebo functionality.
- Stay current with Docebo feature releases and provide recommendations and education to internal teams on newly available functionality.
- Work closely with IT to manage system integrations (SSO, HRIS data feeds, API connections) and troubleshoot system issues.
- Provide user support, responding to tickets, identifying root causes, and escalating to Docebo support when necessary.
- Create and maintain SOPs, training documentation, user guides, and job aids for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity, system accuracy, and permission hygiene.
- Monitor accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG), and advocate for platform usability improvements where applicable.
Analytics, Reporting & Optimization
- Build and maintain reports to track learner engagement, completions, overdue items, and overall platform usage.
- Translate learning data into actionable insights for business leaders and HR partners.
- Identify trends, gaps, or inefficiencies and proactively recommend system and process enhancements.
Sitefinity Intranet Management
- Maintain and update the internal HR intranet site using Sitefinity CMS, ensuring timely, relevant, and engaging content.
- Coordinate with content owners across departments to publish updates and organize pages for intuitive navigation.
- Use HTML and CSS for light enhancements, styling adjustments, and content formatting.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Act as a learning technology advisor, partnering with stakeholders to brainstorm and implement creative solutions using LMS and intranet tools.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, gamification, personalization, and adult learning trends that enhance the employee experience.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects that involve learning systems, training automation, or employee enablement.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of proven experience as an LMS Administrator, preferably with Docebo or another enterprise-grade LMS.
- Demonstrated ability to support system configuration, content buildout, user support, and reporting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information effectively to various audiences.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, identify, coordinate, and track critical activities, milestones, and deliverables.
- Experience working in a cross-functional, fully remote environment.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for front-end content formatting.
- Familiarity with Sitefinity or similar content management systems (e.g., SharePoint, WordPress, Drupal).
- Understanding of adult learning principles and how they apply to digital learning environments
- Experience managing integrations (e.g., SSO, HRIS, API) and vendor relationships.
- Awareness of accessibility standards and digital compliance requirements (e.g., WCAG, GDPR).
- Basic knowledge of Canva or other design software.
