Minimum Qualifications:

• High School, GED or formal educational equivalent. Successful completion of patient care technician course is required within 3 months of employment.

• Health Care Experience.

• Patient Care Experience.

• Certified Nursing Assistant or Military Corpsman.

• Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR Certified/Licensed.

• Experience in an ambulatory care setting

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

• Measures and record vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height).

• Conducts patient interviews to collect histories, update active problems, medications, allergies, and past surgical/medical data.

• Ensures accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

• Handles patient registration and scheduling using registration and scheduling systems.

• Escorts patients to labs, radiology, or other areas as needed.

• Monitors progress to ensure prompt return to the exam room.

• Provides grooming assistance, oral hygiene, and comfort measures.

• Helps patients with basic activities like turning, repositioning, or ambulation when appropriate.

• Monitors and restock supplies in rooms and stations, and maintain cleanliness and order in patient care areas.

• Assists patients and visitors with information, act as a resource, and notify staff of issues requiring prompt action.

• May perform other duties as assigned.
