The Senior Director, Product Line is responsible for the strategic development, management, and performance of a specific product line or product family within the organization. This role requires a blend of business acumen, technical knowledge, and leadership skills to drive product success and meet market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Development - Products, Programs & Services
    • Develop and execute product strategies aligned with company goals and market trends
    • Create and maintain product roadmaps, defining winning product features for specific market segments
    • Lead the conceptualization and development of new products, working closely with cross-functional teams
  • Market Analysis and Customer Engagement
    • Own and drive comprehensive market research initiatives to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes
    • Proactively lead and manage customer engagement activities, including organizing focus groups, conducting interviews, and facilitating feedback sessions to gather critical insights for product improvements
    • Take full ownership of generating awareness and enthusiasm for the product line among customers and integration partners through strategic marketing initiatives and targeted outreach programs
    • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to analyze market dynamics and customer behavior, translating findings into actionable product enhancements and market positioning
    • Serve as the primary driver for building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and industry influencers to ensure the product line remains competitive and relevant
  • Financial Management
    • Assume full P&L responsibility for the product line, ensuring business objectives are achieved
    • Develop pricing strategies and implement price increase models to drive profitability
    • -Create and manage product forecasts and budgets
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration
    • Lead cross-functional project teams, including functional shared services, i.e., marketing , sales, customer success, IT resource development Collaborate with sales teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies
    • Provide technical expertise and act as a liaison between customers and internal teams
  • Product Lifecycle Management
    • Implement and oversee product lifecycle management processes
    • Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions for improvements or discontinuation
    • Manage end-of-life activities for products nearing obsolescence

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
    • 12+ years of experience with 5+ in a product management or related role
    • Proven track record of successful product launches and lifecycle management
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software
    • Deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs in the relevant industry

    • Results-driven with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets
    • Innovative problem-solver with the ability to navigate complex challenges
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience
    • MBA preferred
Working Conditions
  • Hybrid/office-based role with flexibility if/when aligned to company needs
  • Standard business hours; flexibility required for global collaboration and product launches.
  • Travel up to 25-30% for customer visits, trade shows, and cross-site collaboration.
  • Primarily computer/office work with occasional light lifting or attending events.
  • Reports to Vice President - Product Line and works closely with cross-functional teams across marketing, sales, R&D, and operations.
