Strategic Planner

The Opportunity:
As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and askquestions others don't. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to guide teams as theysolve some of our clients' most complex problems and find solutions that keep our nation safe.

You will support strategic planning, capability development, and resource allocation across all department, Joint, and military processes for strategy or policy, the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE). You will conduct review and analysis of new and updated strategic national and DoD guidance to provide assessment of impacts and opportunities for CBRN prevention and response mission space and capability requirements. You will participate as directed in defense and Joint venues in support of authorities, roles, and functions as the principal advisor on matters involving forces and capabilities. You will develop and provide capability requirements assessment and recommendations for senior leadership engagement in DoD decision-making processes impacting CBRN missions, requirements, and capability development. You will conduct reviews of Science and Technology (S&T) project reports to identify potential capability solutions for programs to address gaps in future CWMD or CBRN defense capabilities. You will support CWMD in strategic and operational planning, programming, and budgeting, contributing to the development of effective Homeland Defense Prevention and Response Programs. You will conduct research and analysis and develop recommendations for program and capability solutions, participate in and support CBRN Response Enterprise (CRE) capability requirements in CBRN Defense (CBRND) programs, the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC), JCIDS, CWMD Working Group, PPBE, and capabilities-based planning processes and forums. You will actively coordinate and collaborate with the Army, Air Force, and Joint Staff on developing capabilities and resourcing solutions for CWMD or CBRND capabilities.

You Have:

  • 20+ years of experience supporting strategic and operational planning and requirements activities for the DoD

  • 15+ years of experience supporting requirements development and planning processes, including JCIDS and PPBE support

  • 5+ years of experience directing strategic and operational planning and requirements activities as a team leader

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in a CS, IT, Engineering, or Business field

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements foraccess to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
