Job Description Responsible for establishing and managing projects to collectively deliver desired business outcomes. Project managers lead a variety of different types of projects utilizing several different methodologies including large scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrade and deployments. Project managers may manage multiple projects and may have end to end responsibility for the work effort and may lead both technology and non-technology initiatives. Project Manager will also be responsible for project financials partner closely with Line of Business Change Management teams to provide updates on technology deliverables. This person is responsible for end-to-end technology delivery of the assigned project and is the primary point of escalation for technology issues. Drives overall technology execution and manages line of business stakeholder relationships and acts as their advocate throughout the life of the project. Plans, organizes, monitors and controls projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Develop and socialize potential risk mitigation strategies. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed. Partners with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Responsible for financials and project documents. This is within the Change Management team. The manager is out of the country until 8/20 but I briefly got the chance to speak with him and he will review resumes while he is gone but won't start interviews until he gets back next week Thursday. The manager mentioned that this will be almost an audit type role - this candidate will be helping sign off on changes before they are able to start project releases. So this candidate must understand change management guidelines and standards. Communication skills are key - many times they will get push back on the requirements of a change and this candidate must be able to articulate clearly where the gaps are within the change management standards before they can sign off on it. He also stressed that this role is very up and down when it comes to the work load. Some weeks you'll be required to work past 5pm and other weeks will be a lot lighter so the candidate needs to be aware and available for that type of schedule. This candidate will be required to monitor the progress of many different aspects of the end-to-end process and provide updates and solutions along the way. The manager is looking for someone with an assertive personality that can take charge and push projects forward as needed.
