*Location*: Onsite - Annapolis, MD *Employment Type*: Contract-to-Hire (CTH) * Eligibility Requirement:* U.S. Citizenship required per federal contract guidelines *Join the Team Powering Global Connectivity* A client of TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled Network Implementation Engineer & Team Trainer to join their growing Implementation team. This team delivers secure, reliable, and private networking solutions to critical industries worldwide. This hybrid role blends hands-on engineering with leadership and training. You'll lead complex network implementations, collaborate with international customers, and help shape the future of global operations through mentorship and knowledge development. *Key Responsibilities* * Lead full-cycle network implementations-from design to cutover * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders * Manage WAN circuit activations and troubleshoot complex issues * Create detailed cutover plans and maintain critical documentation * Mentor junior engineers and deliver technical training sessions * Develop SOPs, playbooks, and implementation guides * Evaluate new tools and technologies and train the team on their use * Support presales efforts and customer engagement *What You'll Gain* * Experience translating complex technical concepts into accessible training materials * Exposure to advanced WAN and security technologies (BGP, NAT, VPN, DMVPN, ASA firewalls) * Global implementation experience in service provider-class WAN environments * Leadership and customer communication skills through high-impact deployments *Required Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience (or 5+ years with an advanced degree) * U.S. Citizenship (required due to federal contract obligations) * 5+ years configuring Cisco routers/switches in production WANs * Strong BGP routing and template-based configuration experience * Deep knowledge of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, NAT, VPN) and firewalls * Experience mentoring technical teams or delivering training * CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience diagnosing issues via packet captures or system logs * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Prior WAN implementation experience in large-scale environments * Experience developing structured training content and documentation *Work Environment* Onsite - 5 days/week in Annapolis, MD International collaboration Fast-paced, high-impact projects *Compensation & Benefits* Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and performance-based incentives Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term placement Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
