Job Summary
Provides counsel to students regarding their student accounts from all programs of the University.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities:

Student Accounts - 70%

  1. Provides counsel to students and their authorized and proxy users, from all programs and schools, regarding their student account.
  2. Provides first level problem solving and explains Bethel policies to students and their authorized and proxy users.
  3. Handles cases of little to no concern.
  4. Coordinates and executes past due account maintenance.
  5. Processes payments and enters them into the ERP system.

Scholarship Checks - 10%

  1. Processes outside scholarship checks on student accounts.
  2. Maintains detailed records for back-up and future scholarship data (deferred scholarships).

Business Office Support - 15%

  1. Serves as the back up to and assists several other roles in the business office.
  2. Assists to develop and maintain guides for business office processes.

Title IV Aid Processing - 5%

  • Must be comfortable working as a team as well as independently in a professional manner.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as Google Workspace.
  • Requires strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional and confidential manner amongst diverse clientele.
Experience

No previous experience required.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Additional Information

Travel: This position requires no travel.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Expected Hours of Work:

Typically, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is a 40 hour per week, 12 months per year position.
