Job Summary

As a Line Lead, you will play a crucial role in the operational success of our department by assisting Supervisors in the coordination and management of activities to achieve daily production goals. This position invites individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment, ensuring that the production process is efficient and effective

Shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6am - 6pm

Primary Duties

  • Review daily production schedules meticulously to ensure that demands are met, effectively managing work assignments and scheduling to optimize workflow.
  • Provide motivating leadership, clear communication, and effective work direction for team members, actively participating in tasks whenever necessary to assist in workloads.
  • Deliver training and development opportunities for both new and current employees, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of line employees' work to ensure compliance with quality standards and adherence to established work instructions.
  • Regularly assess the availability of supplies needed for line employees to perform their jobs efficiently, addressing any shortfalls in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all employees are equipped with appropriate protective equipment and are well-trained on the proper use of chemicals and awareness of emergency procedures within the workplace.
  • Champion compliance with all safety policies and procedures, creating a safe and secure environment for all employees.
  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors and the Plant Manager regarding any department or employee issues, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate with OES/Maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve any equipment-related issues promptly.
  • Enter and verify data within the CMS and Training Manager systems as necessary for operational efficiency.
  • Engage in various initiatives aimed at improving departmental performance and processes, demonstrating a commitment to both team success and personal development.
  • Support team objectives by contributing to related tasks or projects that may extend beyond assigned responsibilities, ensuring that team goals are met.

Qualifications

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to facilitate clear interactions with team members and management.
  • Demonstrate strong reasoning skills, capable of analyzing situations and making informed decisions promptly.
  • Exhibit outstanding time management and multi-tasking capabilities to prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment.

Education / Experience

  • Computer experience is essential, as familiarity with various software platforms will be necessary for data entry and communication.
  • Hands-on experience with all department functions is highly valued to effectively understand the workflow and contribute to improved production processes.
