The New Orleans, LA Railroad Business Unit is seeking Entry Level Civil Engineers with interest/experience in Railroad Bridge design.This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your career with one of the nation's leading bridge engineering firms, working alongside experts on projects that shape our rail infrastructure.
What We're Looking For

  • At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University
  • EIcertification is required
  • Railroad bridge experience, or interest in Railroad Bridgesis preferred(not required)



What You'll Do



  • Perform structural design and detailing of railroad bridge components with guidance from Project Managers and Senior Structural Engineers.
  • Perform tasks on multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities, including field and construction service assignments as needed.
  • Perform bridge analysis, design and detailing based on the AREMA Manual.
  • Familiarity with CADD software, Microsoft Office Software, and structural analysis software.
  • Problem-solving skills necessary to resolve both design and detailing issues.
  • Ability to identify appropriate steps in the bridge design and detailing process, and the initiative to complete the necessary tasks.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisor, and other team members.
  • Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information orally and in writing with co-workers, project managers, supervisor, and other team members.
