Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Machine Assembler to join our team in building and testing CNC and Waterjet machinery. In this role, you will assemble high precision cutting systems, perform durability and functionality tests, and provide support to both internal teams and customers.

The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to achieving team and individual goals. Responsibilities include using tools and software to test the durability and performance of plasma and waterjet cutting systems, calibrating and testing a range of company products, and following established work instructions while maintaining strict safety protocols.

After mastering the CNC machine production build process, the new hire will transition into a Technical Support role. This includes training to remotely diagnose and repair CNC machines and effectively communicate solutions to our existing customer base.

Primary Production Responsibilities

  • Build machines to company standard while using laser level and other alignment systems.
  • Hands-on testing of new and existing products for durability, precision and consistency.
  • Installation of machine accessories such as torch configuration, software upgrades and marker assembly in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Packs machines for safe shipment in accordance with company guidelines. Follows checklist to ensure items are packed thoroughly.
  • Operates forklift in accordance with company and OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Adheres to machine build plan and executes all weekly machine builds in timely manner.
  • Ensure that all issues discovered during production of new and existing machines are documented and brought to the attention of the Operations Manager swiftly.
  • Further develop our production operation by maintaining records of consumables, spare parts, software upgrades, plasma source identification, and machine service logs.

Technical Support Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales & Operations Teams with technical assistance during customer demonstrations.
  • When required, carry out equipment servicing at local customer locations as per service program. When equipment requires repair following service, obtain written customer permission for receipt and take necessary actions to return equipment to fully operational condition. Completion of company service documentation as per company procedures.
  • Training on diagnostic services for Plasma Machines
  • Phone support for customers calling requiring technical support
  • Create Cases documenting customer name, table model and serial numbers, brief description of error messages and resolutions
  • Effectively communicate with customers on resolutions on technical support cases by means of telephone, email and secure messaging on MySwiftCut app.

Interpersonal Skills:

* Strong team player with the ability to work under own supervision.

* Strong oral and reading skills with emphasis on following technical steps and reading machine schematics.

  • Able to communicate clearly and quickly.

* Basic computer literacy and familiarity with CNC plasma cutting systems.

  • Ability to read an electrical schematic

* Advanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to CNC cutting machinery or equivalent.

  • Planning and organization skills.

Desirable but not required

* Forklift certification

  • OSHA 10 certification
